So, did you hear? Microsoft has become the first major tech company to introduce the middle finger emoji, and honestly, I think it’s hilarious! I mean, I can send a bloody needle, a gun, a pill, a knife, or even a cash pile with wings on my iPhone, but I can’t give someone the finger? I can totally express my annoyance with a fiery red demon emoji or an angry purple monster, or even throw in a side-eye emoji. But no middle finger?
The downside? I’m all in on Apple products. So when someone shoots me the Microsoft FU, I feel utterly helpless. Apple, could you at least throw me a bone and add an eye-rolling emoji? How is that not a thing yet? I get that civility matters, both online and off, but let’s be real: people say all sorts of things behind a screen that they wouldn’t dare in person. It can be infuriating, but as someone who rarely flips people off in real life, it would be nice to have that option for specific posts on social media. You know exactly what I mean.

In a nutshell, the internet’s lack of a middle finger emoji can be frustrating, especially for Apple users. But hey, maybe one day we’ll get that eye-roll emoji we’ve all been waiting for!
