Photographer Loses Client Over Support for Gay Marriage, But It All Backfires
So, there’s this photographer, Jason Greene, who’s been capturing wedding moments worldwide for 15 years. Recently, he joined many others in celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize gay marriage by updating his business’s Facebook profile with a rainbow filter and sharing a sweet meme that read, “All we see is love,” featuring couples of all kinds.
However, one of his clients, a couple named Sarah and Mike, were not thrilled about his display of support. They shot him a message saying, “We believe in traditional marriage and don’t want our money going to those who support otherwise.” Good luck with that! Now that same-sex marriage is legal everywhere, are they really going to avoid every vendor who treats all couples equally? That sounds like a tough road ahead.
To make matters worse for them, they clearly didn’t read the fine print in their contract, which stated that the retainer fee they paid was non-refundable. But Jason had a unique response that’s now making waves online: “As for your retainer, I hope you’ll recall the contract you signed stating that it’s non-refundable. However, I’ve decided to donate your $1500 to GLAD, a group that supports LGBTQ+ rights.” Talk about a plot twist!
In an act of kindness, Jason even blacked out their names, showing a surprising level of grace in the face of intolerance. While it’s sad they probably didn’t learn anything from this, they inadvertently contributed to the very cause they oppose, thanks to instant karma. Jason told a news outlet, “It’s crucial to support gay marriage because we are all just human beings wanting love and equal rights. Everyone deserves their ‘happily ever after.’”
After his post went viral, Sarah and Mike reached out again, expressing their disgust and asking him to take it down. Jason’s brilliant reply? “You’ll be glad to know that Facebook has features that let you hide or block posts that offend you.”
Let’s give Jason a virtual round of applause for standing his ground! If you want to read more about home insemination or find amazing resources on pregnancy, check out this excellent site. And if you’re interested in learning about at-home insemination kits, this one is definitely worth a look!
In summary, Jason Greene’s story highlights not only his support for love in all forms but also how standing up for what you believe in can lead to unexpected outcomes.
