Dear 40-Year-Old Me,

happy babyhome insemination Kit

Hey there, 40-year-old me! Remember that time you rocked a G-string bikini at that pool party? Yeah, you may have felt shy and kept your back against the wall, but you still went for it! Nowadays, my backside is much more reserved and prefers to stay out of the sun—like, way out.

But don’t get me wrong, I still love to swim! The problem is, my current swimsuit makes me look like I’ve got a serious wardrobe malfunction. So, earlier today, I faced the dreaded task of swimsuit shopping. Ugh.

I had my heart set on a classic Speedo. Without a clue about my size, I grabbed a few options from the rack and headed for the “dressing room of despair.” My plan? Get in and out quickly: clothes off, suit on. If it fits, I’m golden.

So there I was, bent over trying to wiggle into a bathing suit bottom, when suddenly, an alarm blared loudly. It was like a scene out of a comedy! I pulled the suit up and looked around, half-expecting a “butt patrol” to come rushing in. Thankfully, it turned out to be just an Amber alert on my phone. While I felt bad for the situation, I was relieved my awkward position hadn’t freaked anyone out.

I hurriedly got dressed, purchased the suit, and bolted out of the store. Sure, this new suit isn’t nearly as daring as that old G-string, but hey, I’m still wearing a swimsuit! If I could rewind time, I’d strut my stuff on that deck and show off the confidence I had back then.

I want you to embrace your body, no matter the changes that come with age. Sure, there might be a few droops and drops, but your body will also dance at weddings, paddleboard in sunny Mexico, and carry sleepy kids. Some days it might drag, and others, you won’t want the day to end.

Let’s face it: it’s not a perfect body, but it’s uniquely yours, and it fits you just right. No “buts” allowed!
