Will I Always Feel the Urge for Another Baby?
Parenting can be a whirlwind of emotions, can’t it? As I watch my kids grow and become more self-sufficient, I’m reminded of how quickly time flies. Each day, they stretch their little legs and their independence a little further, and honestly, it feels pretty great not to be needed all the time. Don’t get me wrong—I love being a mom and feeling that sense of importance, but there’s something liberating about carving out time for my own interests and passions.
I’m doing my best to convince myself that my ovaries should chill out when it comes to the idea of having another baby. Who knows? Maybe in a couple of decades, I’ll have a grandkid to spoil and indulge in all those cute little outfits. Perhaps that’s why grandparents tend to shower their grandkids with affection: they finally get the baby fix they’ve been missing.
