Bangkok is a vibrant city that welcomes you with open arms. Despite its notorious nightlife, it offers a little something for everyone, including amazing attractions for families. From cultural landmarks to delicious street food and expansive parks, you’ll find a range of activities suited for kids of all ages. I’ve lived here for about nine months and have enjoyed exploring the city with my little ones, including my 14-month-old and my picky 6 and 8-year-old nieces and nephew. Here are my top 10 recommendations for family fun in Bangkok, in no particular order.

This interactive gallery is a two-story marvel and holds the title of the largest art illusion museum in the world. Located just outside the city, your kids can snap photos on a flying carpet, join in on an Emperor’s coronation, or even take a gondola ride in Italy—all while having a blast posing for pictures! Plan to spend a few hours here, as your cheeks will hurt from all the smiling. -
Bangkok Sea Life Ocean World
Right in the heart of the city, this impressive aquarium is a must-visit for little sea explorers. With over 30,000 marine creatures, it’s an underwater paradise that your child won’t want to leave. They can touch stingrays and sharks at the petting pond or even take a dive with the sharks—a thrilling experience for older kids. Don’t miss the penguin show, which is always a hit with toddlers.
