19-Month-Old’s Photos Offer a Peek into a Toddler’s Perspective
Meet the tiny photographer who’s already stealing hearts online! Nineteen-month-old Leo just might be the youngest viral sensation we’ve seen. Following in the footsteps of his dad, Greg, a talented photographer in the army, Leo decided to grab a camera and share his unique view of the world.
After showing interest in his dad’s GoPro during a family trip to the Dominican Republic, Leo was gifted a slightly outdated Canon camera when they returned home. “I handed him the Canon after he was trying to snap some pics on my GoPro,” Greg shared. “He figured it out pretty quickly!”
Armed with his new toy, Leo set out to photograph his favorite subjects—mom, dad, their furry friend, the yard, and, for some reason, his own little feet! Greg noted, “That’s how he sees the world right now. He looks up at us, down at his feet, and straight ahead at everything else.”
Leo’s approach to photography was as laid-back as you can imagine. “He strolled around the house and garden, shouting ‘cheese’ at everything in sight,” Greg explained. It seems he’s already showing signs of photographic flair, having even managed to switch to ‘sepia’ mode at one point. Perhaps he was trying to add a touch of sophistication to his shots! Instead of using the LCD screen, he preferred looking through the viewfinder like a pro.
Greg couldn’t resist capturing some candid moments of Leo in action with his iPhone, and let me tell you, the kid looked both adorably focused and incredibly serious about his craft.
After their little photo session, Greg and his partner took a moment to glance at Leo’s first masterpieces. “We thought they were quite groovy! I was genuinely intrigued by the perspective,” Greg mused. Who knows? With this early start, Leo might grow up to be a photographer just like his dad!
