Two creative moms got together at swim class, and what blossomed was a delightful clothing line that features coats turning kids into the cutest little creatures. They named their brand after their kids—Milo & Nia.
“We decided to join forces to learn how to make kids’ apparel, and soon enough, Mia had this fantastic idea that she couldn’t shake off: Milo & Nia children’s clothing,” Sarah shared with us. “I was on board right away, and we quickly started setting up our Etsy shop and crafting our brand.” Based in the UK, they ship their whimsical designs worldwide. “Mia, the imaginative half of our duo, had this genius idea to create coats with playful fox ears on the hood, a soft fur chest, and a fluffy tail,” Sarah explained. “As soon as she pitched it, I knew we had struck gold.” And they certainly did, as their Etsy shop became a bustling hub of creativity.
“I spent months refining and designing the patterns, and by late summer 2015, we launched our Fox, Wolf, Ladybug, and Bumble Bee coats,” Sarah noted. “They were an instant hit, and when they took off on Facebook towards the end of last year, our inbox was flooded with orders and inquiries.”

With two moms leading the charge, it’s no surprise that their products are just right for little ones. “Our main goal is to create practical, comfortable, and ‘hassle-free’ clothing for toddlers, firmly believing that style should never compromise comfort, especially when it comes to easily dressing and undressing a wriggly toddler,” they explained. “You won’t find any scratchy denim, itchy lace, or restrictive clothes in our collection. Rest assured, everything here is made with comfort at the forefront.”
Since their debut, these talented moms have also added bear, bunny, and cat coats, along with whimsical animal-themed capes. While each coat is crafted with care, the duo does have a favorite. “I’d have to say Mr. Fox! He was our first design, and without a doubt, the most adored. I can’t help but take a moment to admire each one before sending it off,” Sarah mused. “He’s just so incredibly cute, with that vibrant orange and fluffy white chest, tail, and those adorable little ears!”
With kids of their own, it makes perfect sense that these moms dress their littles in their latest creations. “My daughter sported her fox coat proudly last winter, and this year she’ll be rocking a bunny if I can find the time to whip one up!” Sarah shared.
