Plus, we’re setting an example for our children. If we act like martyrs and ignore our health, they’ll likely do the same. So, carve out a minimum of 12 hours a week just for yourself. It can include workouts, date nights, or even a much-needed spa day. I find it totally doable, and if I can manage it, so can you!
What’s one worry you’ve learned isn’t worth your time?
I see parents boasting about their kids’ achievements—like saying their little one spoke at seven months or got a black belt at nine. Meanwhile, I look at my kids and see normal, everyday kids who are doing just fine. They’re hitting milestones at their own pace, and honestly, I wasn’t exceptional either, and I turned out alright.
