College Students Transform Into Disney Princesses to Brighten the Days of Sick Kids

Talk about a sprinkle of magic! A group of college students has taken it upon themselves to don the iconic costumes of beloved Disney princesses and spread joy to children in hospitals battling serious illnesses or facing special challenges. Their enchanting visits have the power to transform a gloomy day into a sparkling moment of happiness.

The brainchild behind this heartwarming initiative, known as A Moment of Magic, comes from two students at The College of Willow Springs, Emma Green and Zoe Miller. The idea sparked when Green found herself inspired by Disney’s blockbuster hit, Frozen. “I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘Hey, I kind of resemble Elsa!’” Green told Home Insemination Kit. “Suddenly, it hit me – all my passions for kids, philanthropy, and princesses could come together into one magical mission.” She reached out to her fearless friend Zoe, who didn’t hesitate to jump on board.

To kickstart their project, the duo set up a GoFundMe campaign, raising about $2,000 for costumes, wigs, and other essentials. A Moment of Magic has since traveled across 12 states and boasts around 40 volunteers. For hospitals they can’t personally visit, they connect with kids through Skype or FaceTime, proving that distance can’t diminish their sparkle.

In a touching video by Elite Daily, Green is seen in her Elsa getup, sharing, “I still get butterflies every time I walk into a hospital. I worry I won’t be pretty enough or clever enough, but the kids’ smiles give me all the confidence I need.” Is anyone else feeling teary-eyed right now?!

Despite their busy college lives and any nerves they may feel, these two ladies are driven by a cause greater than themselves. “I really believe that even the smallest gestures can have a massive impact,” Miller told Home Insemination Kit. “What we’re doing may seem simple, but it creates huge ripples of joy.” It’s a beautiful reminder of how collective small acts of kindness can lead to something extraordinary.

“I want to fulfill as many dreams as possible because these kids deserve it,” Green said. “At the very least, I hope our story inspires someone to do something kind today, be it holding a door open for someone or donating clothes, or maybe even joining our team.”
