Celebrate! The Bigots Are Boycotting Target This Holiday Season

As we embrace this season of gratitude, it seems some folks are choosing to express their intolerance instead, thanks to the outrageous #AnywhereButTARGET movement. Those still reeling from Target’s announcement earlier this year about allowing individuals to use restrooms that match their gender identity have decided to avoid shopping at Target this holiday season. But hey, more parking spaces and bigot-free aisles for us!

This boycott, orchestrated by a conservative watchdog group named 2nd Vote, serves to inform those who share their views on where not to spend their money. Conversely, it highlights the stores that support inclusivity, prompting decent humans to direct their holiday shopping elsewhere. After reading this, you may feel compelled to shower Target with your entire paycheck this festive season.

From 2nd Vote

“Are you tired of the liberal agenda infiltrating our schools and workplaces? Fed up with corporations promoting a radical agenda that threatens our values? This Christmas, we’re boycotting one of the top corporate supporters of the liberal, LGBT agenda, and we need your help. We’re shopping #AnywhereButTARGET because we believe conservatives shouldn’t fund Target’s dangerous social policies.”

Because nothing screams “decency” quite like attempting to further marginalize an already vulnerable group. I’m pretty sure that’s what Jesus would have wanted, right? And the danger? If you’ve been following the news, you’d think Target’s bathrooms would be overrun with sexual predators, right? Once they implemented their inclusive policy, a wave of men disguised as women must have rushed in to attack young girls. It’s a crisis, THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Except it’s not. No men have donned dresses in Target bathrooms to commit acts of violence against women or children; that notion is a fabrication that doesn’t align with actual statistics on sexual offenses. In fact, 75% of child sexual abuse cases involve family members or acquaintances. The delusion that men are suddenly using Target’s policy as an excuse to invade women’s spaces is utterly absurd.

The site drones on about the First Amendment and how radical it is to allow individuals to use facilities that align with their gender identity, as if rights are only meant for cisgender individuals. But hey, this means we can enjoy our holiday shopping without encountering the type of individuals who cling to harmful ideologies. While they trudge through the mall, we can glide through the aisles of our favorite store, exchanging smiles with fellow open-minded shoppers, happily supporting Target’s commitment to treating everyone with respect.
