Dear Little Ones,
As parents, we often focus on teaching you the essentials like looking both ways before crossing the street or avoiding hot stoves and stray cats. But there are other vital lessons about life that we tend to overlook. Maybe I assume you pick these things up naturally, but based on your reactions, it’s clear we need to have a little chat. So, here are some important life lessons that need to be shared:
-
Naps Are Your Friends.
Contrary to your belief that nap time is a battle to win, it’s actually a golden opportunity to recharge. Embrace it! When someone tells you to snuggle up and snooze, don’t resist like you might miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime event. Once you realize that indulging in long, guilt-free naps is a luxury, you might just stop throwing a tantrum over it. -
Grooming is a Treat.
I know that when I bring out the nail clippers or suggest a nice bubble bath, you act as though I’m trying to perform surgery on you. But kids, these are called beauty treatments, and people actually pay for them! You have a stylist (me!) at your beck and call, so why not relax and enjoy it instead of fighting it? -
Laundry is a Magical Process.
In your world, laundry just magically happens. You toss your dirty clothes into the hamper, and voilà! They reappear fresh and clean. Please take a moment to appreciate this amazing service that I provide. And let’s not forget, you have a wardrobe stylist who picks out your outfits every day. You don’t have to think about it—just put on what’s laid out for you! -
You Have a Personal Chef.
Think about it: you never have to wonder what to make for dinner or plan meals. You simply show up, and there’s a meal ready for you. Not to mention, I even blow on your food to make sure it’s not too hot. Next time you’re picking at your dinner and wishing for cereal, remember the effort that goes into your meals. -
Transportation is a Breeze.
When was the last time you had to navigate through traffic or search for parking? Oh right, never! You get to relax in the backseat, lost in your own world while I handle the driving. You don’t have to worry about traffic, and when it’s time to come home, your ride is already waiting for you. You’re living the dream, my little ones.
I hope this letter helps you appreciate just how many conveniences you have at your fingertips. Kids, you’re surrounded by luxuries that many people would envy. Soak it all in now, while you can—because one day, you might miss the days when all you had to do was enjoy life.
With love,
Mommy
