If you’re a woman over 25, chances are you were jamming to *NSYNC at some point in your life. At the very least, you know who they are, can sing along to at least three of their hits, and probably have a friend who was obsessed with them.

For those who may not know, the boy band has been on an official “hiatus” since 2002. In the 15 years since their split, some members have stayed under the radar, while others have embraced the limelight. They’ve reunited for special occasions (like JC’s birthday bash last August), but their last big performance together was back in August 2013 at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Justin Timberlake accepted the Video Vanguard Award and brought his bandmates onstage for a nostalgic performance of “Girlfriend” and “Bye Bye Bye.” It was legendary.

True fans (like yours truly) have been eagerly waiting for a full comeback, especially since many of their peers—cough Backstreet Boys—have made returns in the last few years. While we’ve had glimpses of hope (remember that late-night photo Justin posted from JC’s birthday that had every media outlet buzzing?), the guys have hinted that a full reunion would require something truly special. Well, folks, hold onto your hats because Lance Bass has just dropped some exciting news!

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bass revealed two thrilling updates: first, they’re gearing up to release a special vinyl edition of their 1998 Christmas album, *Home for Christmas*, to celebrate its 20th anniversary—can you believe it’s been 20 years? And second, they’re set to reunite publicly sometime this year! Yes, you read that right! I might have screamed and done a little dance around my living room like it was 1999 again.

The group is also scheduled to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year—finally, right? They just need to pin down a date so we can all celebrate together.

Lance mentioned that the guys stay connected, often teasing each other via group text. And despite Justin Timberlake’s infamous “ramen noodle” hairstyle being a running joke, they mostly spend their time playfully roasting Joey Fatone. “We just bag on each other all day long,” he said.
