I love their high-waisted bikinis in black or nude, but I recommend sizing up. For reference, I’m a medium in most brands, but I snag a large in Knockout, which also comes in plus sizes.
If you’re a thong person, they’ve got you covered there too with a comfy, high-waisted thong option for those rare moments when you need to avoid a visible panty line (VPL). For a little less support, try their lighter high-waisted option, which is adorned with stretchy lace—just be careful with that lace, I may or may not have put a hole in mine!
Most Comfortable: Hanky Panky
Hanky Panky might be famous for their one-size-fits-all thongs, but they’ve expanded their line to include some delightful high-waisted styles. While they aren’t as high as Knockout’s, they still cover the essentials. I adore their retro V-kini—super comfy, no squeezing, and no rolling down! Plus, they come in fun colors and patterns, including my personal favorite, leopard print!

Most Feels Like You’re Going Commando: Spanx
Gone are the days of squeezing into Spanx for me! They have a new line called UndieTectable that’s more about support than suffocation. I’m a fan of their particular style, but fair warning: their sizing is a bit off. I usually wear a medium, but I need an XL in these to avoid that muffin top situation. Luckily, they have free returns, so you can test your size. Plus, there’s a great variety of colors, and they even have plus-size options!
