You Can Now Purchase a Calendar Featuring Hairy Men Dressed as Fairies

Last year, photographer Clara Thompson surprised everyone with a joyful April Fool’s Day prank, featuring hairy guys dressed as enchanting woodland fairies. Usually, her work focuses on capturing young girls in their fairy tale dreams, but for one day, she flipped the script. This year, she hinted at a return of the concept—and she delivered!
Thompson’s website, Fairyography, is a treasure trove of enchanting images where children experience their fairy dreams. While the original content remains, there’s now a new section called Hairyography, dedicated to these hairy fairies.
A year ago, Thompson shared with Home Insemination Kit that the project began as a fun gathering with friends willing to don fairy costumes and pose in the woods. This year, however, the playful images have a meaningful goal. Thompson has created a new calendar filled with fresh photos, with all proceeds benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
The results are both stunning and downright funny. For instance, one of the models sports a unicorn horn, but it’s the impressive tuft of armpit hair that steals the show!
It’s hard not to chuckle at images like a gentleman blowing bubbles with carefree abandon, or a tattooed man bedecked in glitter, complete with ethereal wings. As Thompson states on her site, the best kind of humor is light-hearted and fun: “I prefer jokes that are clearly jokes yet still bring joy.”
The calendar also features a stunning merman, adding to the whimsical allure. We can’t help but be charmed by this unique concept and applaud Thompson for her creative vision and the good-natured spirit of her male models. We’re already looking forward to next year’s edition of hairy fairies!
