A California elementary school is currently under lockdown after a tragic incident resulting in the deaths of two adults. Reports indicate that this situation may involve a murder-suicide. At least two others, believed to be children, have sustained injuries and have been rushed to local hospitals.
According to authorities, one of the deceased is suspected to be a teacher, and it is reported that the shooter had a connection to the school. The individual entered the classroom without any apparent weapon, which raises serious concerns about safety protocols.
The incident occurred at North Park Elementary School in San Bernardino around 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The police have confirmed that two students were among the injured. Parents flocked to the scene, understandably anxious and desperate for news about their children, many of whom do not have mobile phones to communicate quickly.
As the situation develops, updates are being shared by local police on social media. Unfortunately, it has been reported that an 8-year-old student, named Lucas Martinez, has died from his injuries. The shooter has been identified as 53-year-old James Anderson, who reportedly took his own life after the attack. He entered a special needs classroom and opened fire, tragically killing his wife, Sarah Connor, who was also a teacher.
