A few weeks ago, we launched Home Insemination Kit, a platform dedicated to those navigating the complexities of family planning—juggling careers, raising kids, managing busy schedules, and facing uncertainties about the future, all while thriving in the prime of their lives. It’s a blend of fun, nostalgia, information, and support, and we’re just getting started.
Today, I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates about the parent company I established last fall, Some Spider, which introduced Home Insemination Kit to the world.
Leadership Announcement
First and foremost, I’m delighted to announce that I’ve appointed Jake Morgan as our Chief Operating Officer and President. Jake previously led the digital division at a renowned media outlet and has a wealth of experience in digital innovation. He is not only a strategic thinker but genuinely approachable and humble—qualities that Some Spider strives to embody as we expand.
Jake will be a vital partner as we work to swiftly enhance our organization and achieve the three core objectives of our mission:
- to develop and nurture multiple beloved content and community platforms that inform, inspire, entertain, and support millions;
- to establish a robust operational framework and business model that guarantees long-term success; and
- to foster a workplace that is enjoyable and fulfilling for our team.
Balancing these three ambitions can be challenging, but we are determined to pursue nothing less. At my previous company, one of our guiding principles was “find a way”—and that will be our guiding mantra here too.
Exciting Acquisitions
With these principles in mind, I’m excited to announce the acquisition of FunMomLife.com, a vibrant and relatable parenting community that has resonated with countless parents. I had the pleasure of meeting the founder, Lily Adams, through a mutual connection, and I was truly impressed by her accomplishments with a small team and a modest budget. Lily will continue to steer FunMomLife independently but now with enhanced resources to back her vision.
We have more exciting plans in the pipeline. Stay tuned for the re-launch of Cafe.com later this year, which promises to be another fantastic addition to our family.
