The thought of dating right now feels overwhelming. As a busy mom of three, it seems like an impossible dream. However, I started to brainstorm some potential places where I might meet my next husband when the time is right. Here’s what I came up with:
- The Grocery Store. It’s a classic! Imagine reaching for the same ripe avocado and your hands brush against each other. Of course, when they see me wrangling my three kids, who are racing through the aisles like little tornadoes, they’ll surely think, “I want some of that excitement!”
- The Zoo. At first glance, people might wonder if we’re part of the exhibit with all the energy we’re bringing. But once they realize we’re just a mom and her kids, I can almost hear them thinking, “I’d love to join that adventure!”
- The Doctor’s Office. Sure, it’s usually filled with moms managing their little ones, but if a single dad happens to be there, we might both be thinking, “Hey, how about we team up for this wild ride?”
- Church. Every churchgoer knows that when a single mom of three walks in, their first thought is likely, “Now there’s a family I can be a part of!”
- Online. Because who doesn’t trust what people say in their profiles? Plus, I’ve seen ads for single dad dating sites popping up on my feed—very intriguing!
- Stuck in Traffic. Picture me in the minivan, singing along to kids’ songs while my little ones are bouncing in the back. I can only imagine a guy in the next lane thinking, “Wow, she looks like fun! I should get to know her!”
- A Bar. Because, clearly, my last experience was a grand success! Once I secure a babysitter, I’m sure my future Prince Charming will be waiting, drink in hand, ready to step into a ready-made family.
- Sports Practices. In a few years, as I cheer my boys on, I’ll be discreetly scanning the crowd for Mr. Right. Just as long as he doesn’t try to distract me while I’m focused on my kids!
- Through Friends. Although, at the moment, I don’t have many close friends nearby due to my mom duties, I could always resort to long-distance relationships. Because who doesn’t love a good Facebook romance?
- Work. If there were any eligible bachelors at my job, I can just picture them thinking, “Great! This single mom of three will have plenty of time for me!”
