Dear Fellow Pinterest Moms:
Let’s Come Together!
You probably expected another critique of Pinterest, crafting, or the quest for creating a “magical” childhood for our kids. Well, I’m here to tell you that’s not my aim at all!
This message is for you, my fellow Pinterest Moms. I genuinely appreciate you because, to be honest, I am you! Yes, I admit it: I’m a Pinterest Mom, and I wear that badge with pride. Not only do I pin those ideas, but I also bring them to life.
Now, let me clarify: I don’t do this for validation or to make other moms feel less than. In fact, I don’t even do it primarily for my kids! I do it because I enjoy it.
That’s right! We Pinterest Moms embrace our creative sides because it brings us joy. We love crafting, decorating, cooking, and hosting parties. We create things for the sheer fun of it!
When we share our projects or treats, it’s not aimed at you, Non-Pinterest Moms. We understand that you might not be interested, and that’s totally fine. We’ve seen countless articles that label us as “show-offs” or “trying too hard.” But guess what? We didn’t share our latest craft on social media for your approval; it was for OUR enjoyment.
So let’s rally together: PINTEREST MOMS, LET’S UNITE! We want to celebrate creativity! We’re eager to see the amazing projects you’ve done with everyday items like clothespins or twigs. That fondant cake? Yes, please! We might just be inspired to recreate it. We do this because it’s FUN, and that’s what matters.
We’re not here to create illusions or compete with anyone. We’re simply crafty moms, and we’ve loved making things long before our kids came along. Now, we just have enthusiastic little helpers by our sides.
And you know what? If crafting or cooking isn’t your thing, that’s perfectly okay! My own mother didn’t engage in those activities with me, and look how I turned out—still passionate about crafting! So don’t worry if you think your kids are missing out. If you’re concerned, toss some craft supplies their way, or let them explore nature—there’s always something to be found!
This isn’t a competition; we’re just enjoying our unique ways of having fun. If your family sings together or enjoys another hobby, go for it! I promise I won’t feel envious. Personally, I’d rather not have to sing at all.

Summary:
In a world where Pinterest Moms are often misunderstood or criticized, this article embraces the joy of crafting, cooking, and creativity. It celebrates the fun and fulfillment that comes from these activities, while encouraging moms to unite and share their experiences without feeling judged. Everyone has their own way of enjoying family time, and that’s perfectly okay!
