The 2014 Thanksgiving Initiative

The 2014 Thanksgiving Initiative started three years ago with just a small group of families. A few mothers shared their struggles with affording Thanksgiving meals, while others from the community stepped in to lend a hand. No grand ambitions were at play; we simply aimed to make a positive impact in the lives of a few families. And then, something wonderful unfolded.

More families shared their challenges, and an increasing number of generous individuals contributed, whether it was a dollar or several hundred. As a result, over four hundred families enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast they would have otherwise missed out on, leading to the birth of our community-focused charity.

At the heart of our mission is the understanding that, despite our differences, the love a mother has for her children is a universal bond. There’s something inherently nurturing about the desire to provide for one’s family, and that’s the essence of our Thanksgiving Initiative. Our collective journey for the well-being of our children connects us all. To date, more than 4,500 families have benefited from this initiative, and just last year, we received 2,765 applications, fulfilling each one of them.

Special Holiday E-Book Release

Additionally, there’s a way for you to do something good for others while treating yourself at the same time. On November 17, just in time for the holiday season, we will release a new e-book, “The Home Insemination Kit’s Guide to Surviving the Holidays.” The best part? A portion of the proceeds from the e-book will support our initiative. It features contributions from voices you know and love from our community.

Meet the talented contributors to our holiday guide: Jenna Parker, Jessica Lee, Mia Thompson, and many more! At only $2.99, this e-book is an excellent investment for the season. Pre-order from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or iBooks, and it will magically appear on your device on November 17. It’s a delightful little holiday gift… from you, to you.
