Where on Earth Is the School Bus? There’s an App for That

Introducing an innovative app called Here Comes the Bus (perhaps a bit of a dull title, but the concept is fantastic!) developed by Synovia Solutions in Indiana. This real-time school bus tracker allows parents to see exactly where their child’s bus is, directly from their smartphone, tablet, or computer.
The main goal of this app is to keep parents informed about when their child’s bus is on the way. By providing this information, the app aims to reduce the time kids spend waiting outside in less-than-ideal weather conditions—whether it’s chilly winters, heavy rain, scorching sun, or during rush-hour traffic. Additionally, it’s designed to minimize the number of anxious calls from parents wondering about delayed buses.
“The same question comes up again and again,” shared Alex Martinez, president of Synovia Solutions, with RTV6. “Where is my child’s bus? If parents have this app, they can easily check the bus’s location, eliminating the uncertainty of waiting at the bus stop.”
By August, around seven school districts in Central Indiana will be implementing this app, and Synovia Solutions plans to roll it out to 500 school districts nationwide by the end of this year.
