When it comes to Mother’s Day gifts, kids have it easy. There’s really no pressure on them! After all, children are the reason the saying “it’s the thought that counts” came to be. They aren’t expected to spend their own money—most of the time, they don’t even have jobs! If they do have some cash, it’s usually from us, making any gift they give feel less like a genuine offering and more like a transaction.
Crafting is another area where kids tend to fall short. Let’s face it: it’s not the 1970s anymore, and I doubt Mom needs another lopsided ceramic ashtray. But you know what? She’s going to act like she loves it anyway, because that’s just what moms do!
