Kids—they seem to want everything you have. If you’ve ever snuck a treat into the pantry to escape your little ones, you are definitely not alone. Who among us hasn’t tried to enjoy a quiet moment with a sweet snack, only to be interrupted?
Meet Jamie Thompson, a mom of quadruplets who shares her experiences on her Facebook page, A Miracle Unfolding. Recently, she posted a video that perfectly captures the essence of motherhood in just 34 seconds.
“Dad’s outside shoveling the driveway, and I desperately need a treat to survive the evening,” her video opens. “So here I am, hiding in the pantry. Is that so wrong?”
Raise your hand if you can relate! “They just won’t leave you alone,” she continues. “They want everything you have. Look—there’s my little one!” The scene cuts to her adorable daughter, pushing her chubby fingers under the door.
Ugh, those cute but relentless little fingers! And then you hear that sweet voice say, “Hi!”—and just like that, your resolve crumbles. You end up sharing your candy, because how can you resist those charms?
Darn kids, why must they be so irresistibly cute? The truth is, they really do want everything you have, including your precious snack time.
