After sharing the exciting news of their second child’s impending arrival on Valentine’s Day and officially stepping back from their royal duties, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first public appearance during Spotify’s Stream On event. This event coincided with the announcement that Meghan won her privacy lawsuit against the British tabloids.
The couple, appearing calm and at ease, sat together on their couch in their Santa Barbara home to discuss Archewell Audio, the new production company they established last year. The company will focus on creating exclusive podcasts for Spotify.
As for their appearance? Meghan’s hair looked stunning, and her dress, which some identified as Oscar de la Renta, was absolutely adorable. After a year spent in quarantine, her eyebrows were on point. Harry looked dapper too, though unlike Kate and William, their background lacked family photographs. Instead, a ladder or easel hinted at a more casual decor choice.
With open windows behind them and light coconut-colored walls, the backdrop set a relaxed tone as “Electric Love” by Børns played softly. Meghan began, “We’re using podcasting to drive powerful conversations…” to which Harry added, “…that inspire, challenge and educate.”
“Archewell Audio was created to elevate voices that may not be heard and share people’s stories,” Meghan elaborated. Harry emphasized the importance of building a community where sharing vulnerabilities is encouraged and supported.
In December, the couple announced their multi-year partnership with Spotify, introducing Archewell Audio with a short audio clip discussing their vision for the show. They invited noted figures like Tyler Perry, Elton John, and Stacey Abrams to contemplate the past year in a special holiday feature. Little Archie, their one-year-old son, was also included, bringing adorable charm as he tried his hand at the mic.
Prince Harry told Archie, “You can speak into it,” prompting Meghan to ask, “Archie, is it fun?” to which he replied, “Fun?” Meghan echoed, “Fun!” The little one then delivered a heartwarming message to listeners with his parents cheering him on.
The couple simply introduced themselves as “Harry” and “Meghan,” showcasing their down-to-earth approach.
