Our favorite news anchor also took a moment to highlight the significance of fostering a love for reading in children. “It’s National Read Across America Day, and especially now, with so many kids still out of school due to the pandemic, it’s crucial to inspire them to read,” he shared in the video, which he posted across his social media platforms. “I struggled with reading as a child due to a mild form of dyslexia, but I was fortunate to receive help early on. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for many children. I read to Max every day.”
As they read together, Max cozied up on his dad’s lap, playing with a rubber duck. At one point, he reached for the book, eliciting a proud smile from his loving father. “Is there anything better than just spending time with your kid and reading?” Johnson mused. “Incredible.”
