Remember the days when kids needed face wash? While we’d love to relive parts of childhood—like endless hours on the swings, afternoon naps, and summer days splashing in kiddie pools—no one wants to revisit the struggle of dealing with teenage skin. Children’s skin is thinner than that of adults, and those aged 10 and under typically retain less moisture. “When selecting a face wash, look for gentler cleansers that won’t strip the skin,” Davis advises. Opt for non-soap-based cleansers with a mild pH of around 5-6. “Cocoamidopropyl betaine is a great option, as this gentle surfactant is commonly found in ‘gentle’ cleansers,” adds Reed.
