I’ve Been Inspired, and Now I Want (Need?) the Bogg Bag

When Crocs decided to stop making their flat ballerina shoes, I felt a wave of sadness wash over me. I took a moment to grieve and then went a little overboard purchasing Crocs for my kids, just in case their favorites were also on the chopping block. I appreciate how easy they are to clean since kids seem to have a knack for stepping in the most unpleasant things. Now, I’ve discovered a similar durable, washable design in a tote bag—introducing the Bogg Bag.

Mom groups are buzzing about these bags as if they’re the only solution for hauling kids’ wet towels, snacks, and water bottles to the pool or lake—though we know that’s not the case. Still, many of us have succumbed to the hype (or peer pressure) and are diving in. Why not, right?

This bag was created by a mother whose family loves the beach, and she aimed for a design that could withstand the wear and tear that only kids and the seaside can dish out. The family patented and launched the Bogg Bag company in 2011, making it easy to clean, rinse off, and capable of handling whatever spills come its way.

The Bogg Bag is truly everything I’ve ever wanted in a bag since becoming a parent. You wouldn’t believe the stuff I carry for my kids—items that stain, smell, and crumble, leaving who-knows-what at the bottom of my bag. Just the other day, I found a bird feather in there (yes, you read that right!). My kids treat my bag like their personal storage, tossing in whatever they please without a second thought, especially during the summer. That’s exactly why I’m drawn to the Bogg Bag.

With around thirty color options, I could practically have a different one for each day of the month! This variety is a blessing for someone like me who struggles with indecision. They might not be the cheapest option, but they are incredibly practical. Go ahead, take a peek and drool over them like I did—no worries about that, since they’re waterproof and easy to wipe clean.

My favorite is the extra-large tote (though the smaller one is a great size as well). I tend to cram a lot into my bag—good stuff and questionable items alike. Just the other week, I found pebbles mixed with seashells at the bottom, thanks to my little collector. The Bogg Bag has holes that allow sand to escape, keeping it fresh and clean, and I can simply spray it down when needed. It’s no wonder moms are raving about this bag; we need more easy-to-clean options in our lives!

The limited edition bags are also a hit; I’m particularly fond of the pineapple design. It makes me think of sipping cocktails, although some might associate the pineapple symbol with other meanings. That’s not why I love it, though!

For my birthday, I’m hoping for a gift card to get my own Bogg Bag. This isn’t an advertisement; I’m just genuinely excited about this bag. Bring on the pebbles, feathers, and sand—my future Bogg Bag can take it all!
