Hispanic Heritage Month is here! Did you know it runs from September 15 to October 15? That’s right; it’s a unique celebration that starts and ends in the middle of the month. While there are many ways to honor this month—such as supporting Hispanic-owned businesses or diving into the rich culture through food and music—one of my favorite ways to celebrate is by enjoying movies and TV shows that showcase Hispanic stories and experiences.

As a parent, I find that films and shows are a wonderful way for my daughter to learn about diverse cultures and languages. At just nine years old, she’s already comfortable watching foreign films with subtitles, which I think will help her connect with new friends and broaden her worldview.
