In an exciting update, Emily Carter, the co-founder of the popular fitness app ‘FitLife’, has revealed that she is pregnant with her second child! Emily shared the joyful news exclusively with Health & Wellness today, just a month after her engagement to Ryan Thompson. The couple is set to welcome their new addition in March 2023.
With an impressive following of 15.2 million on Instagram, Emily delighted her fans by posting a heartfelt photo of herself and Ryan holding an ultrasound image, captioned: “We are THRILLED to announce that our family is growing! Lily is so excited to become a big sister, and Ryan and I couldn’t be happier! So much to celebrate and be thankful for! We can’t wait to take you all on this journey with us.”
In her statement to Health & Wellness, Emily expressed, “I am beyond excited to embark on this new chapter with Ryan and have never felt more fulfilled.” Emily is already a mother to three-year-old daughter Lily from a previous relationship, and this will be Ryan’s first child. She shared, “Family means everything to both of us, and I can’t wait to see Ryan as a dad. He has so much love to give and is wonderful with Lily and his nieces and nephews. Lily is thrilled about having a baby in mommy’s tummy — she’s so nurturing, and I know she’ll be an incredible big sister.”
Emily candidly discussed her fitness journey during her first pregnancy, noting it was a challenge to maintain her exercise routine. She recalled, “It’s amazing what the female body can endure and how it changes during pregnancy and childbirth. I dealt with morning sickness until around 26 weeks, which limited my ability to stay active during the first two trimesters.”
Fortunately, she reported that this time around, her morning sickness lasted only until the ninth week, and she is feeling much healthier. “This pregnancy feels different; I have a greater understanding of what to expect, and I feel more at ease. I think most second-time moms would agree that the experience feels less daunting,” she added.
For this pregnancy, Emily is focused on taking things one day at a time and cherishing the experience. While she acknowledges that every pregnancy is unique, she aims to listen to her body’s needs. Currently, she has scaled back on cardio and high-intensity workouts but remains active with a focus on strength training. “I’m exploring some new workouts from my pregnancy program set to launch in October and really enjoy weight training with higher reps. I also love to walk and aim to increase my daily steps,” she concluded.
Congratulations, Emily! Your journey and dedication to balancing fitness and motherhood is truly inspiring.
