There’s a term for it: feeling “touched out.” If you’re a parent, especially if you’re the main caregiver, you likely know this sensation all too well. It’s that overwhelming feeling of having too much physical interaction with the little ones who are around you all the time—being treated like a giant, huggable, kissable, pokable, climbable playground that also dispenses snacks and maybe even lactates.
Sometimes, you just need a break. Here are 18 parents who understand:
- My partner complained about never having alone time. I just had to use the bathroom with two kids on my lap and a dog under my feet.
