Sweater Weather
artificial insemination kit for humans
Is it that time of year already? I appreciate warm weather and long days, just like everyone else, but there’s a limit.

I crawled into bed at exactly 8:45 PM last night, the darkness having fully settled here in Maine. I had intended to get cozy earlier with a book, but for whatever reason, I felt that wasn’t quite proper. Once I got comfy and lost in my story, a bug flew straight into my eye. Moments later, another one nearly invaded my left nostril. It was too chilly for the air conditioners that have been running for months yet too warm to close the windows, leaving me feeling itchy all over.
Then this morning, after I took the time to tame my hair, it instantly puffed back up into a wild shape reminiscent of a traffic cone.
So here’s my confession: I’m fed up. I’m tired of sweaty days, frizzy hair, and the relentless dryness caused by the fan and AC. I’m over the pressure to relish every second of summer outdoors. I’m ready for pumpkin spice season to begin.
Once summer arrives, after enduring long winter months, there’s this overwhelming urge to do everything: Attend every outdoor concert! Go camping! Dine al fresco while being assaulted by bugs! Don’t forget to visit the waterpark and hit the beach as often as possible, only to end up sticky with sunscreen and sand, spending hours vacuuming it out of your car. I’m done!
I genuinely enjoy summer at its onset and embrace the seasonal change like anyone else. The fresh air, extra sunshine, and longer days are lovely. But I’ve reached my limit, and I’m ready to embrace fall, the best season of all.
There’s something magical about waking up to crisp air and pulling on your favorite sweater or sweatshirt. The days of barely wearing clothes to avoid melting away are over; cozy sweats are back to stay (at least for a little while).
Can you envision it? Roaming the aisles of your favorite store, caressing the flannel sheets and plaid pillows, while sipping on a pumpkin spice latte and contemplating how many pumpkins you need for your front porch. It’s a whole vibe, right?
Want to see a bunch of content moms? Visit Target on a brisk autumn day and look around. Some of us live for this moment, and nothing can dull our high from candle shopping and wreath-making.
Autumn is the perfect time to dig out all your beloved pie, cake, and bread recipes and fill your home with the delightful aroma of baked goods. We get hooked on slow cooker meals and snuggle under blankets. Who needs an excuse to lounge on a Sunday? It’s fall, and we’ve just survived a summer of sweating while carting kids everywhere. This is our time to recharge.
Slipping into your favorite boots and a scarf and heading to the orchard (even if you’re just there for donuts and cider) is nostalgic. The changing leaves take you back to childhood, reminding you of gathering leaves to press between wax paper just like you did in elementary school.
Autumn offers the best movies too — Hocus Pocus, Good Will Hunting, You’ve Got Mail, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. Just give me my couch, these films, and some pumpkin bread, and I’m set for the day. Life truly doesn’t get better than that.
So, stock up on candy corn, fire up your slow cooker, go to bed a little earlier, and grab all the pumpkin spice you can find. Before you know it, fall will be over — so savor every moment!
