I absolutely adore Google! It’s like having a personal assistant who knows everything and never judges you. Whether I’m in a panic or just curious, I can search for anything, anytime. It’s saved me from some pretty embarrassing moments and also made my heart race a few times—like when I googled some of my more interesting questions.

Over the past four years and eight months, I’ve typed some pretty wild things into that search bar. Some were personal, others downright funny, and a few hilariously personal. I’m sure I’m not alone in having a quirky search history, so I thought I’d share some of mine. Here’s a snapshot of what my Google searches looked like from February 2010, when I found out I was expecting, to October 2011, right before my son’s first birthday:

  • Why is my period late?
  • Are cheap pregnancy tests reliable?
  • What should I do when I find out I’m pregnant?
  • Clear jelly-like substance—what is that?
  • How big is my baby at 6 weeks?
  • Is it normal to have a higher sex drive in the first trimester?
  • Why do my breasts hurt?
  • Morning sickness—what gives?
  • Can I eat nuts while pregnant?
  • Why am I crying so much?
  • Nursery design ideas
  • Is it safe to take hot baths during pregnancy?
  • Why do my nipples feel huge?
  • When will I start to feel better post-pregnancy?
  • How accurate are gender scans?
  • What’s the deal with baby colic?
  • Am I a terrible mom for having two kids so close in age?
  • Planning a first birthday party—what theme to choose?

And there you have it, a peek into my first year of motherhood through the lens of Google. If you’re on a similar journey, you might find some valuable insights on this other blog post or visit Make a Mom for expert advice on home insemination. In summary, Google has been my go-to resource throughout my pregnancy and into motherhood, helping me navigate the ups and downs. It’s comforting to know that I’m not alone in my search history adventures!
