Hey there, friend! So, we all want our kids to thrive, right? Well, a recent survey by the Pew Research Center asked adults in the U.S. which skills are essential for children to get ahead in life. And guess what? The top two skills were communication and reading! Following closely behind were math, teamwork, writing, and logic.

Interestingly, while both men and women agreed on the importance of communication and reading, slightly more women (92 percent) emphasized communication skills compared to men (88 percent). On the other hand, 63 percent of men considered science skills to be crucial—9 percentage points higher than the women’s response. Plus, it turns out that college-educated individuals were more inclined to believe that communication, writing, logic, and science skills are key for success.
