Remember when I stormed off and yelled, “I can’t stand you”? Looking back, that was just my way of saying, “You’re way smarter than I am, and it kills me that I can’t pull one over on you.” You always knew my every move, and honestly, you were just trying to keep me safe—though I definitely didn’t appreciate it at the time. It’s infuriating to realize you were right all along, and that’s what really bugged me.
I thought I was so grown-up, but I clearly wasn’t. I owe you a huge apology for all the times I put my own feelings first and ignored how you felt. You were the adult, making the tough calls for my sake, while I acted like a typical teen—selfish and reckless. Thanks for putting up with my teenage drama.
Cringe-Worthy Moments
And let’s not forget those epic moments I’m still cringing about: the cafeteria incident, the whole “skort” debacle, the concert fiasco, and that awkward situation with Sarah. I hope you’ve managed to erase those from your memory!
There’s a long list of things I should apologize for, but since you probably don’t know about most of them, let’s just sweep those under the rug for now.
Much love,

In Summary
Being a teen is tough, but being a mom during those years is even tougher. It’s a wild ride of emotions, and while I was busy being a brat, you were doing your best to guide me. Thanks for always having my back, even when I was too stubborn to see it.
