You have four children—what’s it like managing that chaos?

It’s wonderful but absolutely chaotic! I always say, “four is more,” because when I had three, I felt like I wanted another one, and after some convincing, my husband agreed. And here we are!

How do you balance being a mom while keeping up with your acting career?

I often feel like I’m in a tug of war between my career demands and family needs. When I’m away for work, I feel guilty, but I try to make up for it by being as present as possible when I’m home. There are periods when I’m not filming, so I can focus on being the best mom, but when I am working, it’s tough to juggle everything. Honestly, there’s no such thing as a supermom; something has to give.

What about spending time with your husband?

We do have date nights, but they require quite a bit of planning! I usually ask him, “Which day next week can we schedule a date night?” since we don’t have a full-time nanny. A simple dinner out is a big deal for us—like a trip to our favorite place, which is perfect for a little getaway.
