happy babyhome insemination Kit

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how truly amazing you are at 5 years old. You’re bright, curious, and wonderfully silly in that delightful way only kids can be. Your laughter is infectious, and when you giggle, I can almost see little musical notes dancing up to the sky.

Your face is so expressive, showing every little emotion you feel. You haven’t learned yet how to hide your true feelings (and honestly, don’t rush to learn that trick—it’s overrated). You’re growing taller and stronger, and your endless energy for running everywhere instead of walking (or flying like “Supergirl,” I guess) keeps you so full of life. And while you’re still a bit adorably pudgy, I know I’ll miss that when you grow up.

When you told me your legs looked fat, it felt like a stone dropped in my stomach. I never want you to feel that way. I don’t want you to live in a world where girls think they should be less than they are. Not now. Not ever, although I understand that life can be complicated.

So here’s what I said to you, and I hope I expressed it well enough. I never want you to look back and feel I set you on the wrong path. This conversation is one I’ll cherish forever, and I hope you do too.

Your legs aren’t just for fitting into trendy pants or draping gracefully next to fancy handbags. They’re made for power. They’ll carry you through life every single day.

Your legs take you to school and to playdates with friends. They help you conquer that climbing wall you’ve been eyeing. They let you jump, skip, and race around as you explore the world. Every time you sprint up the stairs or play tag in the park, it’s because you’re healthy and full of strength.

And trust me, as you grow older, you’re going to need them even more. In college, you’ll walk to your classes because, believe me, a car won’t be in the budget! You’ll use those legs during your summer job in Greece, giving your parents a few heart attacks but keeping in touch regularly. They’ll help you hit the gym, dance with friends, and even drag you through a charity 5k run on a Sunday morning.

You’ll walk up to the stage to get your diploma one day. And when you have kids of your own, you’ll need those legs to soothe them in the wee hours. They’ll help you escape danger (like hungry animals or busy streets) or chase after thrilling adventures.

Most importantly, you’ll run back to us whenever you need to because that’s what family is all about.

So please, never doubt that you’re perfect just as you are, or think your body should look any different than it does. I created you, piece by piece, and you are everything you’ve ever been meant to be, plus a little extra.

Love,
Mom
