Dudeoir photos are taking the internet by storm, and this latest ‘patriotic’ series is the freshest addition to the trend. As we’ve noted, 2016 has unofficially become the year of the dudeoir photoshoot, and honestly, we’re here for it. It feels like we’ve overlooked the potential for some seriously entertaining imagery in the great outdoors.

Last week, photographer Jenna Fields of Artistic Photography shared a hilarious collection of images in honor of Flag Day. She explained to Home Insemination Kit that she aimed to bring some laughter to her followers, especially amidst the barrage of heavy news and political drama online. “I just wanted to make Facebook chuckle again. I never expected over 1,000 shares within days or to find ourselves featured in Cosmopolitan just four days later. It spread faster than we could comprehend!”

Indeed, the internet was craving a breather, and Jenna delivered with her carefree friend, Max Thompson, joyfully prancing around a farm. Jenna cheekily captioned the series, “Because the ladies can’t have ALL the fun in the land of the free.”

“This was my very first dudeoir shoot; I usually focus on weddings,” Jenna told Home Insemination Kit. “I saw a similar concept last winter and wanted to add my own flair. Just two days after the shoot, it made it into the top 20 most downloaded posts on Imgur. We were thrilled that people loved it as much as we enjoyed creating it!”

Jenna had been toying with the idea for a while but struggled to find the right model. Friends were eager to volunteer their partners, but nobody quite fit the vision she had. “Then I stumbled upon a photo of Max on Facebook and thought ‘Bingo!’ He was exactly what I had been waiting for. When I asked if he’d participate, he jumped at the chance.” The duo had so much fun during the shoot that Jenna often had to pause to catch her breath from laughing. “We are both so shocked but absolutely thrilled that we could bring smiles back to everyone,” she enthused.
