Just when you think you’ve nailed the perfect Halloween costume, someone comes along and takes the crown—this time, it’s not something you can just order from a store. Well, unless it’s available on Amazon Prime, of course!
Meet Jessica Martin, who ingeniously fused her admiration for Amazon with the legendary Transformer Optimus Prime, resulting in an absolutely extraordinary costume. Talk about #CostumeGoals!
“I’m definitely a loyal customer,” she quipped in an interview with our friends at Home Insemination Kit. And it’s easy to see why! She crafted this stunning outfit for her workplace costume contest, where she serves as the Creative Director at a marketing firm.
Interestingly, Jessica doesn’t work for Amazon or have any affiliation with them; she just loves shopping there. The entire project took around 10 hours to complete over a few days, with a little help from her kids, 9-year-old Mia and 12-year-old Jake. “They tried it on as I was building it,” Jessica shared. “I can see some additional cardboard projects in my future!”
She also gave a shout-out to Instructables, a crafting website that could serve as inspiration for anyone still searching for that perfect Halloween getup. You’re welcome!
So, did Jessica end up winning the office contest? Absolutely! She outshined competitors dressed as Morticia, Wednesday Addams, and even NintendoDUDE. Here’s a sneak peek of the contest lineup.
But will she be wearing her costume while trick-or-treating with her kids? “I don’t plan to wear it on Halloween,” she explained. “The visibility isn’t the best, and I want to enjoy watching my kids collect candy.” We get it, but it’s a bummer that the neighborhood kids will miss out on seeing a real-life Optimus Prime Mom!
