Finally, he strapped on the board and gave it a shot. With all the security around him, he really let loose and had fun.”
Branson noted that both of them had plenty of wipeouts, but they kept getting back at it every day. “We were neck and neck until the last run, when I finally got up on the foilboard and zipped along for 50 meters, feeling quite proud of myself. But then I looked over and saw Barack effortlessly glide 100 meters on his kiteboard! Hats off to him for that victory!”
Branson was a true sport about it. “After all he’s done for the world, I couldn’t be mad about losing. When he comes back, we plan to tackle a long kite ride over to Anegada together. Next time, may the best (British) man win!”
