Newborn Puppy Photoshoots Should Become a Regular Tradition
If you think images of snugly wrapped newborn babies are cute, just wait until you feast your eyes on a swaddled puppy! Photographer Jamie Taylor, known for capturing charming moments of little ones, recently showcased some of the most heartwarming newborn puppy photos imaginable. This time, she focused her lens on a tiny Olde English Bulldog named Max.
Jamie’s good friend Sarah was facing the painful reality of saying goodbye to her beloved dog, Buddy. “I visited them on the morning they were saying farewell and took some photos to help them have those precious memories,” Jamie shared with us.
“For any dog lover, a home feels so empty without a furry friend,” Jamie noted. My family felt the same loss when we lost our dog, which is why my mom quickly welcomed another pup into our lives. Sarah’s family did something similar.
A few weeks later, Sarah and her husband, Mike, brought home a new bundle of joy—a little Olde English Bulldog they named Max. “As soon as Sarah sent me a picture of him, I told her to come over so we could do a newborn shoot,” Jamie recalled.
The adorable photos of Max are simply delightful! Jamie explained that the shoot went smoothly: “I posed him just like I would any human newborn. It was hilarious because I found myself soothing him just like I would a baby, rocking him gently and making soft ‘shushing’ sounds when he wriggled.”
At one point, Jamie exclaimed to Sarah, “Oh my gosh, this is exactly like any other newborn session. Who knew?!” There were plenty of giggles throughout the session as new posing ideas kept popping into her head.
