These photos are simply everything!
Recently, the world was charmed by two “star-crossed” infants, Rocco and Juliana, who were born just hours apart in the same hospital. What makes this story even juicier? They’re from rival families (okay, maybe I just made that part up, but let’s roll with it). What are the odds, right? We’re talking about one in 12 zillion! Their parents clearly recognize how special this cosmic coincidence is, as they promptly organized the cutest photoshoot for the baby duo just days after their arrival. We’re already rooting for them as a couple!
Before we dive into the heart-melting photos, let’s set the stage. According to ABC News, both babies had their names chosen months before their grand entrance, making this tale feel even more fateful. Imagine if one family inspired the other while waiting in the hospital — what a twist that would have been! But no, this story seems truly written in the stars.
Juliana’s name was inspired by a beloved TV character. “We were looking for a J name to match our son’s name, Jacob. We picked Juliana after watching the show ‘Psych’ and loving the character Jules,” explains her mom, Laura.
Meanwhile, Rocco’s parents, Mike and Sarah, had their own fun story behind his name. “It’s funny because we didn’t even name him Rocco after the famous character,” Sarah shares. “We named him after a singer we adore, Rocco Santos.”
The South Carolina parents certainly didn’t see this coming. Fingers crossed they consider adopting the last names Capulet and Montague, but for now, let’s just enjoy this overload of cuteness!
Oh my goodness, it’s nearly too precious to handle! Cassie Clayshulte from Cassie Clayshulte Photography not only captured the babies’ first moments in the hospital but also took the lead for their joint photoshoot. “We’ve already joked that if they get married, I get to shoot their wedding and engagement photos,” she laughs.
Yes, please make that happen!
Clayshulte told Home Insemination Kit that she’d been dreaming of a newborn Romeo and Juliet shoot since their first photo was taken, but she was worried about making it work without leaning into the morbid ending of the story. She crafted props and outfits to create a Shakespearean vibe. “I made a lace romper and floral crown for Juliana, and for Rocco, we opted for a cute brown romper,” she shares. The results are simply enchanting!
The families also shared with The Daily Mail that they’re planning a Shakespeare-themed joint first birthday bash, so let’s hope this is the start of a beautiful friendship instead of a bitter family feud. And of course, we hope to see plenty of photos from that celebration, because we can’t get enough of this adorable pair!

In summary, the delightful story of Rocco and Juliana has captured hearts everywhere with its charming twist of fate, adorable photos, and the potential for a lifelong friendship. From their star-crossed beginnings to their upcoming birthday celebration, this duo has a bright future ahead.
