Husband and wife duo, Jamie and Alex, began their journey as maternity and newborn photographers after facing challenges with starting their own family. They shared with Cozy Parenting that the inspiration for a Disney-themed shoot emerged from their own heartache. After discovering they were expecting a year later than they thought possible, they experienced a miscarriage at eight weeks.
After taking the time to grieve, they sought a creative outlet. With the new Beauty and the Beast film taking theaters by storm, their thoughts turned to Disney magic. “We aimed to step outside the box, something that hadn’t been done before, and then it struck me—why not gather all the princesses for a group shot, showcasing their baby bumps in a unique way?” says Alex.
The photographers took their princesses to the stunning Newman’s Castle in Texas for a majestic backdrop. And they didn’t stop at just one group photo.

Jamie adds, “This was a delightful project for me as a lifelong fan of classic stories and movies, and it was a fun challenge for Alex because it allowed him to explore a different side of photography.”
The couple hopes to inspire other expectant mothers to capture such beautiful moments. “We hope that moms-to-be who see these lovely photos will view maternity photography in a fresh light and feel inspired to hire a photographer for their own maternity session!” Even if Disney princess photo shoots aren’t your style, Jamie emphasizes the importance of capturing special moments during pregnancy. “It’s a beautiful and unique time in your life, a journey that deserves to be celebrated!”
