How to Navigate My Blog

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m not a traditional writer; I’m simply a passionate blogger sharing my experiences. My posts are crafted in my unique voice—raw, genuine, and often amusing.

You may find that I have a tendency to express myself in a rather animated way. Just like in real life, my words come with a lot of flair! My partner, Alex, often teases me about my expressive nature. I may not have the best singing voice, but I can’t help but add intonation to important words, often accompanied by hand gestures. My emotions are always on display, as if I were a performer—albeit an unintentional one!

Conveying my personality through a screen can be tricky, but I do my best. For starters, I love using italics to emphasize my thoughts. When I’m too lazy to format properly, I might just star my key phrases instead. You’d think everyone would understand what I mean, but I often forget that my internal monologue isn’t always clear to others.

You’ll likely see me writing “GAH” a lot, which captures my irritated gasp rather than a surprised one. If I’m feeling frustrated, I’ll use “Ugh” (picture me shaking my head in disbelief). “Doh!” serves as my way of saying “whoops!” while imagining a dramatic head slap.

When I’d normally let out a sigh, I write “sigh.” If it’s a particularly deep one, I might italicize or capitalize it for emphasis. “Whew” indicates an exhausted sigh, while “woot”—a term I’ve never used out loud—reflects pure joy and excitement, often accompanied by multiple exclamation points.

I also have a fun internal debate between “Yay” and “Yeah.” “Yay” is my enthusiastic cheer, while “Yeah” is a casual way to show agreement, typically accompanied by a nod. When I need to whine, “Wah!” expresses my playful sadness. If I write “Sob,” I mean it literally, not as an insult.

I’m pretty selective with “LOL” because it feels a bit exaggerated. Instead, a chuckle gets a simple “ha!” A genuine giggle might be “hehe,” while a full laugh is expressed with “HAHA!” If something is sarcastically funny, I might even “snort.” Rarely, I do find myself LMAO, but only when there’s a little alcohol involved!

And of course, I can’t forget to throw in an “Oy” here and there—it just fits!

So, that’s a little glimpse into my world and how I communicate through my blog. If you’d like to connect more, feel free to explore our other blog posts, like this one on fertility. To summarize, my blog is a reflection of my authentic self—quirky, relatable, and filled with emotion. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!
