Ever have those days where it feels like the universe is conspiring against you? You know, the kind of days that make you want to physically confront every person you meet? Trust me, I get it. There are countless little annoyances out there that can push us to our limits. Here’s a rundown of some that really grind my gears:

  1. Accidentally splattering coffee on your favorite light-colored outfit. “Hi, I’m Clara, and I clearly lack coordination.”
  2. Drivers who dawdle in the left lane. Seriously, speed it up before I’m forced to join you in your car!
  3. Shoppers who fumble with their cash/checks/coupons at the register. Did they not realize they would be at the front of the line?
  4. Parents who think their children’s chaotic behavior is adorable. Spoiler alert: it’s not! Get those little tornadoes under control before I lose my cool.
  5. Car seats that refuse to buckle correctly. What’s the deal with those?
  6. Meetings about meetings. Because nothing screams efficiency like wasting time talking about how unproductive we are.
  7. Bills. Enough said.
  8. Automated customer service systems. I’d much rather speak to a real person, thank you very much.
  9. Stores with massive crowds and only two checkout lanes open. And why are those employees busy doing everything but helping?
  10. People who chew with their mouths open. Were you raised by wolves?
  11. Liquor stores that close on Sundays. Mimosas don’t make themselves!
  12. Individuals who don’t hold the door for others. No worries, I’ll just juggle my kids and groceries while you stroll on by.
  13. Folks who don’t say “thank you” when someone holds the door for them. You’re welcome, you ungrateful… person.
  14. Doctors who make you wait an hour or more despite your punctual arrival. Time to reevaluate your scheduling, doc!
  15. Cable and phone companies that give you a vague timeframe for service. You take multiple days off, and what happens? They show up when you’re occupied.
  16. Loud cell phone conversations in public. And those Bluetooth headsets… are you talking to me or yourself?
  17. Politicians.
  18. Some social media moguls.
  19. Fast food joints that mess up your order. Consistently!
  20. Filling out the same information on multiple forms at the doctor’s office. Seriously, why?
  21. Rude customers at restaurants. Remember, the staff is handling your food!
  22. Wireless phone stores that never have enough staff. It’s not like they’re surprised by their customer volume!
  23. Christmas advertisements in September. Can we not?
  24. Back-to-school ads in July. Seriously, cut it out.
  25. Taxes.
  26. Certain animated characters.
  27. Public restrooms. The epitome of hygiene nightmares.
  28. Flying. Let’s cram ourselves into a metal tube and share germs for hours on end.
  29. Traffic jams. Being stuck on a sliver of concrete while the world is wide open is maddening.
  30. Some celebrities. I just can’t even.
