Did I ever share that I almost named my two new pups Sam and Diane? Unfortunately, that idea didn’t fly! The male is a big, charming goofball, always eager to play, with a tail that never stops wagging. He might not be the sharpest cookie in the jar, but he sure loves to chase a ball like a certain famous baseball player named Malone. The female, on the other hand, is a beautiful yet anxious whirlwind. She’s incredibly smart and gorgeous, but goodness, she could use a little zen in her life. And guess what? She’s completely enamored with Pete, the name we ultimately chose for the boy, even if he sometimes leads her astray!

So, you can imagine my excitement when I read that Cheers is making its way to Broadway in 2016 with Cheers Live on Stage! According to Rolling Stone, CBS is not only working on this theatrical adaptation featuring our favorite characters like Carla, Norm, and Frasier Crane, but they’re also reviving other cherished classics for the stage!

‘The Brady Bunch’

Most of us grew up watching this iconic show in reruns after school. Greg, Bobby, Peter, Marcia, Jan, and Cindy served as surrogate siblings for many. We couldn’t resist flocking to The Brady Bunch Movie in 1995, featuring the delightful Shelley Long as Carol Brady. Now, CBS is set to bring this cult classic to the stage! While details are still under wraps, we’ll keep you updated.

‘Corduroy’

Who doesn’t remember reading the heartwarming story of Corduroy, the teddy bear searching for a home? This beloved book by Don Freeman, released in 1968, has touched the hearts of many and even inspired an animated series on PBS. CBS is adapting this touching tale for Broadway, and I can already picture parents lining up with their eager kids at the box office!

But that’s not all! CBS is riding the wave of nostalgia with these theater projects, joining a slew of reboots from the ’80s and ’90s that are making a comeback on our screens.

‘Fuller House’

I’ll admit, I never watched Full House when it originally aired; I was busy with college life. Now, my kids have discovered the magic of the DVR, and Uncle Jesse, D.J., and the rest of the Tanners have become part of our daily routine. The excitement is palpable as Netflix brings back this family favorite with Fuller House, featuring many original cast members, including John Stamos and Candace Cameron Bure. The spin-off follows D.J., who is now a veterinarian facing life’s challenges. While the Olsen twins have opted out of returning, the show promises to be a hit with new adventures for the beloved characters.

‘Girl Meets World’

The original Boy Meets World captured our hearts from 1993 to 2000, following Cory Matthews as he navigated life’s ups and downs. Now, The Disney Channel has revived this classic with Girl Meets World, focusing on Cory’s daughter, Riley, and just in time for a new generation to enjoy.

‘The X-Files’

Fans of the paranormal rejoice! Gillian Anderson recently shared a snapshot of Scully and Mulder’s chairs on set, igniting excitement for the return of The X-Files. The show’s creator, Chris Carter, has reunited Anderson and David Duchovny for a fresh six-episode arc on Fox, set to air soon. This groundbreaking series redefined television drama and paved the way for other fantasy shows, and we’re eager to see if “the truth is out there” once again.
