Balancing work and family can feel impossible. Any tips?
Let go of the all-or-nothing mindset. Of course, our children come first since they depend on us. But it’s crucial to prioritize our own well-being too. By caring for ourselves, we model healthy behavior for our kids. I suggest carving out at least 12 hours a week for self-care—be it workouts, dates, or even a trip to the spa. Many might scoff at this, claiming it’s unachievable. Yet, with around 112 waking hours in a week, surely you can find 12 hours just for you. If I can manage it with my busy schedule, so can you!
What’s one worry about motherhood that you’ve come to realize isn’t worth the stress?
I often see parents boasting about their children’s early milestones—talking at seven months, walking at nine, and so on. But I look at my kids and see they’re just typical kids. They’ve met milestones at average times, and I’m confident they will navigate life’s challenges in their own time. I wasn’t exceptional at every stage, and I turned out fine.
When was the last time you used your kids to escape an obligation?

What’s the least amount of sleep you can function on?
Six hours. Honestly, I need my rest; I can barely function without it. Thankfully, now that my kids are older, I manage to catch up on sleep—even if it’s not as much as I’d prefer.
