Cake smash photo sessions for infants (or even adults) have become a beloved tradition, but let’s face it—they’re starting to feel a bit played out. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the delightful concept of a Taco Bell-themed photoshoot. Who wouldn’t want to dive into a pile of tacos while decked out in a cute tutu?

This trend appears to be gaining traction, and for good reason. When planning her daughter Mia’s first birthday photos, Sarah Green found the perfect inspiration. Photographer Lisa Tran from Lisa’s Creative Shots collaborated with her to bring this taco-inspired vision to life. “Sarah and I have known each other for years, and everyone who knows me is aware of my taco obsession. When she pitched the idea of a Taco Bell smash, I couldn’t wait to help bring it to fruition!” Tran shared.

The setup was meticulously planned. Tran created the backdrop and ensured Sarah approved each detail. She sourced the “Taco ‘Bout a Party” banner from Etsy and crafted a taco shell banner herself. As a fun touch, Sarah started saving Taco Bell sauce packets early on to add to the decor!

In no time, Sarah picked up a 12-pack of tacos along with some extra goodies from her local Taco Bell. The outcome was nothing short of spectacular.

A little bit of background: Taco Bell holds a special place in Sarah’s family. “She actually went into labor with her second child while waiting in the drive-thru, but thankfully not with Mia! Plus, it’s where Sarah and her partner had their first unofficial date years ago,” Tran explained.

It seems that Mia has inherited her parents’ passion for Taco Bell.

The shoot went off without a hitch. “I was a bit anxious about how it would turn out, considering babies usually either love or hate the texture of their food during these sessions,” Tran admitted. “But when Sarah set the tray of tacos in front of Mia, she dug right in! It was a delightful surprise.”

Clearly, Mia knows a good meal when she sees one. And of course, the only logical way to end a Taco Bell feast is a complete change of clothes and, hopefully, a bath afterwards.
