I prefer coffee pods for convenience; brewed coffee tends to go cold way too fast (and let’s be real—microwaved coffee is just sad). However, the cost of coffee pods is through the roof. The Donut Shop variety isn’t even fancy and still runs about $30 for 72 pods. Dunkin’ Donuts pods are around $50 for the same count, and while I adore Dunkin’, my wallet doesn’t agree.
After some browsing on Amazon, I stumbled upon a fantastic solution: Solimo coffee pods. They’re priced at just $26 for 100 pods and taste just as good, if not better, than other K-cup brands. My personal favorite is the breakfast blend, but they also have dark roast, French roast, Colombian, and even a Kona blend—delicious options for around the same price. Plus, I opted for the subscription service to save 5-15%. Since I know I’ll be buying at least two boxes a month for me and my husband (no, I’m not drinking all of it alone), it was a no-brainer.

We have a Nespresso machine (thanks to my husband’s parents) that we hardly used because the espresso pods were so ridiculously priced ($105 for 140 capsules). When I discovered that Solimo has espresso pods compatible with Nespresso machines, I knew it was time to make use of that machine. Now, it’s only $13 for 50 pods when you subscribe, which is a steal! So, we’re now spending $39 for 150 capsules instead of $105.
