To increase vaccination rates among employees, the district is also considering offering a $275 stipend to those who provide proof of vaccination. The Miami-Dade County Public Schools have already faced significant losses, and without substantial changes, further losses remain likely. Since the academic year commenced on August 23, there have been over 200 positive COVID-19 cases reported among students and nearly 200 among staff.
