artificial insemination kit for humans
If you’re a devoted fan of Ted Lasso, like I am, you might be wondering whether your Apple TV Plus subscription is still worth it now that season 2 has wrapped up. The answer is a resounding yes! Don’t even think about canceling your membership just yet. Apple TV Plus is packed with a variety of fantastic shows that deserve your attention.
Here’s a look at some of the best content currently available on Apple TV Plus.
1. Acapulco
Featuring Eugenio Derbez, “Acapulco” is a charming bilingual comedy that follows young Máximo Gallardo (Enrique Arrizon) as he lands his dream job as a cabana boy at a luxurious Acapulco resort. However, he quickly discovers that the job comes with its own set of challenges, from demanding guests to a complicated home life. I’m currently watching Acapulco weekly, and I wish it was available to binge! It’s that good! Initially, I had my doubts after the first episode, but now I’m completely hooked. New episodes air every Friday on Apple TV+.
2. Foundation
Recently renewed for a second season, “Foundation” is the much-anticipated adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s iconic book series, guided by visionary showrunner David S. Goyer. The story revolves around Dr. Hari Seldon, who foresees the downfall of the Empire and sets out with his followers to establish The Foundation, aiming to preserve civilization. This epic saga boasts a stellar cast, including Jared Harris and Lee Pace. Although I haven’t watched it yet, I’ve heard rave reviews, and it’s definitely on my must-watch list. New episodes premiere every Friday.
3. Swagger
Inspired by Kevin Durant’s own journey, “Swagger” dives into the competitive world of youth basketball, showcasing the lives of players, their families, and coaches as they navigate ambition and corruption. Created by Reggie Rock Bythewood, the series features a talented ensemble cast including O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Quvenzhané Wallis. The first three episodes debuted on Apple TV+ on October 29.
4. Schmigadoon!
This musical comedy series, produced by Lorne Michaels, stars Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key as a couple who stumble upon a magical town reminiscent of 1940s musicals. They discover they can’t leave until they find “true love.” I loved how it combined fun with serious issues women face. The full first season is now available for streaming.
5. See
Set in a post-apocalyptic future where humanity has lost the ability to see, “See” tells the story of twins born with sight, challenging the norms of their society. Although I haven’t seen it yet, I’ve heard amazing things, and with two seasons available to binge, I can’t wait to dive in. Plus, it stars Jason Momoa!
6. Central Park
This animated musical comedy has been renewed for a third season and features a star-studded cast including Josh Gad and Leslie Odom Jr. The Tillerman family continues their quirky escapades in the world’s most famous park, navigating personal and familial challenges. I caught this series during a flight and absolutely adored it! The second half of season two is currently streaming.
7. Truth Be Told
From acclaimed writer Nichelle Tramble Spellman, “Truth Be Told” offers a fascinating perspective on America’s fascination with true crime podcasts. Starring Octavia Spencer and Kate Hudson, the new season follows a podcaster who re-investigates a case involving her childhood friend. It’s on my watch list as I’ve heard it’s an underrated gem! New episodes are released every Friday.
8. Puppy Place
Each of the eight episodes follows a puppy finding its forever home with the Peterson family. Charles and Lizzie, with their different approaches, work to ensure every dog finds a loving family. I’m looking forward to watching this with my daughter soon!
9. The Shrink Next Door
Based on true events, this series explores the unusual relationship between a psychiatrist, played by Paul Rudd, and his longtime patient, portrayed by Will Ferrell. As the doctor infiltrates the patient’s life, the dynamics shift dangerously. I’m excited to see this when it premieres on November 12.
10. Harriet the Spy
This animated adaptation of the beloved children’s book features Beanie Feldstein as the curious Harriet M. Welsch, who aspires to be a writer by spying on everyone around her. This is another perfect series for me to enjoy with my daughter. The first half of season one premieres on November 19.
As you can see, there’s no shortage of entertaining content on Apple TV Plus. This is just a glimpse of what’s available! So, there’s absolutely no reason to cancel your subscription now. You’ll have plenty to watch while waiting for the next season of Ted Lasso.
