At last, Kim Johnson and Luke Adams have made their red carpet debut! The duo attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner together on Saturday, marking their first public appearance as a couple.
Kim, 41, dazzled in a glimmering silver Balenciaga Couture gown, while Luke, 28, opted for a stylish Prada suit paired with Vans sneakers and sunglasses as they arrived at the event held at the Washington Hilton in D.C. They were all smiles, posing and cozying up for photographers, despite reportedly arriving an hour and a half late.
Believe it or not, this was the first time Kim and Luke walked the red carpet as a pair. Luke had been spotted at the premiere of “The Johnsons” in Los Angeles last month but skipped the red carpet, later seen joining Kim’s family at an after-party. Kim also joined Luke at the Mark Twain Prize Ceremony in D.C. just the week before.
Their romance began last October, when they were first photographed together after Kim hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live, where Luke is a cast member. This relationship marks Kim’s first since filing for divorce from her husband of six years, Mark West, in February 2021. They share four children: Ava, 8, Sam, 6, Mia, 4, and Leo, 2.
An observant fan even noted that Luke has tattooed the initials of Kim and her children’s names on his neck, with the letters “KASML” visible in new photographs.
“I think I’m keeping some aspects of my relationship with Luke a bit more private,” Kim told Hoda Kotb on the Today Show last month. “It feels nice to have our own little world that not many people know about.”
However, Kim did share some intimate snapshots from their big night on her Instagram, captioning it “White House din din.”
More intimate images from the event show them holding hands, creating anticipation for fans, as they are rumored to be attending the Met Gala on Monday evening in New York City. While Kim did not confirm her date for the exclusive event, she teased at the premiere of “The Johnsons,” saying, “You’ll have to wait and see. We’re still figuring it out.”
It appears the entire Johnson clan is set to attend the Costume Institute’s annual benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with Kim’s sisters Sarah and Emily making their Met Ball debut. The theme, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” will focus on Gilded Glamour. Fans are eager to see if Kim and Luke will make an appearance together and what they’ll wear.
